Iraq, Israel, France, Italy and Kazachstan.

Licorice
is the concentrated decoction of the licorice root. The root is
coarsely cut up, crushed or pounded using rollers and boiled. The
decoction is pressed out, filtered and con-centrated. The
evaporation process is contin-ued with constant stirring until the
substance is so thick that it hardens on cooling. The extract is
then further processed by being pressed into blocks, pulverised
(crushed) and spraydried. |
